Our Unique Curriculum

The Yoga program at Cho’s integrates traditional, orthodox teachings of yoga with modern understanding of anatomy and physiology.

Cho’s instructors focus on proper technique and alignment and are committed to meeting your specific needs. You are certain to advance safely and properly and achieve the positive impact you want at any level of participation. Consistent practice is essential. Learn how to use this practice to reach your goals in everyday modern day life. Consistent practice will improve all levels of your performance while promoting peace of mind, good health and happiness.

The Cho’s program consists of core classes, workshops, camps and retreats. Classes vary in length and intensity.

Classics are improvisational and draw upon traditional techniques from yoga’s many systems. Specific systems such as Kundalini, Tibetan and Ashtanga yoga are offered as taught from the original masters, by highly trained and experienced instructors.

Classic I
Beginning level classes introduce fundamentals of poses, breathing, meditation, as practiced in specific systems of yoga. Learn the history and elements of each system. You will become aware of your diet and lifestyle. Begin to learn your own style. Tap into human technology, relax, and build strength and flexibility. This class is always rewarding. It prepares you for any other class or home practice. Impeccable attention to each student is offered to ensure a safe enjoyable practice.

Classic II
Intermediate level class is faster paced and introduces advanced poses.
You will become conditioned and fit as you stretch and strengthen the body. Have fun and relax. Go beyond the basics and experience heightened states of awareness and expression.

Classic III
This is the most rewarding class. An all body mind spirit workout. To support a collective great experience in Classic III, students are asked to be familiar with all material through Classic I and II. The swift pace creates body heat necessary to perform advanced poses and enjoy benefits on the nervous, glandular, immune systems and electromagnetic field. You will walk out of each class feeling incredible, looking beautiful, beaming, radiant and exuding your power.

Gentle
You will feel energized and relaxed in this class. Focus on simple techniques. Deep breathing and quiet contemplation offer peace of mind to the practitioner looking for a less aggressive yet fully rewarding experience. This class is perfect for travelers, beginners, and pre and postnatal, individuals rehabilitating an injury or wanting a mellow workout.

Conscious Pregnancy
Supports awareness through intention, conception, pregnancy, birth and post-partum. Pregnancy, birth and parenting are the single most profound experience for life giving beings. It is intense and demanding. You will have the most incredible experiences of your life. Ease discomforts and distractions, balance emotions and take care of yourself. Practice meditations to focus and prepare you on this life-giving journey. Create early and lasting bonds with your child.

Baby and mom, and family courses will be available throughout the year. Private sessions and groups are forming.

Restorative yoga
The crown jewel of yoga is the ability to enjoy it, feel wonderful and blissful. You will relax, restore and indulge yourself in this magic hour. Come prepared to let go of your stress and worries and meet the world again refreshed and rejuvenated.

Our program has been carefully designed to offer you skills relevant to the reality of your life.

Our daily lives are complex with the demands of what we must do combined with the joys we love. Whether we are, athletes trying to improve our performance, parents trying to run a home, work and spend quality time with our children or as individuals learning to live with balance and a light mind. We all face challenges. We all want to reach our goals. We all want to enjoy our lives. At Cho’s Academy we use techniques of Yoga to help with all of the aforementioned while reducing stress and increasing efficiency.

With careful guidance, you will learn how to better thrive in all aspects of your life: health, physical performance, work performance, happiness with your family, resolving infertility, have a healthy pregnancy, improve confidence, focus and on and on.
